Started Taking lessons from Bill Meriman in 1970. Member of Prince Charles Pipe Band 1970-1977

Played with Shotts and Dykehead Pipe Band 1977 (third in grade one world championships).

Pipe Major Prince Charles Pipe Band 1978-1982 and 1991.

Played with  LA Scots  1995 until 2005.

1977 Bagpipe maker apprentice to George Kilgour Edinburgh.

1977 One full year of solo instruction with Capt. John MacLellan MBE. Best solo result was 4th in the open marches at the Northern Meeting Inverness.

Currently instructing the Reno Firefighters Pipe Band and restoration and sales of vintage bagpipes.
