Carl originally played with Jim Kilpatrick at Shotts and Dykehead Caledonia where he won 24 major drumming titles including 7 World Championships and 7 Champions of Champions. In 1992 the Shotts drum corps made history by winning the Grand Slam - all five major titles in the same year - and an equally historical 11 drumming championship titles in succession. Carl furthered his career as a lead drummer with Grade 1 bands like New Zealend Police, Los Angeles Scots and Windsor Police. His goal is to lead the NAPB drum corps to a top 6 world placing.
