Welcome to the Grade 1 North American Pipe Band Website

A group of dedicated, talented and experienced pipers and drummers are proud to announce that they have established the foundation of The North American Pipe Band.

The North American Pipe Band has been formed and has already attracted some of the top piping and drumming talent in North America and abroad. The band is led by Pipe Major Ian Whitelaw, formerly of the Simon Fraser University Pipe Band, and Leading Drummer Carl Lenny, formerly of The House of Edgar Shotts and Dykehead Pipe Band. The key membership of the band have been involved in winning multiple World Pipe Band Championships and numerous World Drum Corps Championships.

The goal of the band is to compete prominently at the highest level in the world, produce a polished and professional image and to have a global reach. We recognize that there are many excellent pipers and drummers around the world not currently playing with bands, and our aim is to build on our core group of seasoned players and offer players an option to continue to pursue their passion.

The band is currently seeking major sponsorship to enable the organization to achieve its objectives. Players wishing to join the band should contact P/M Ian Whitelaw or L/D Carl Lenny for additional membership requirements and information. Check back for more information as it becomes available.
